The candidate should have the following educational qualification:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Technical Examination Board or any University or Institution established under Central or State Act in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. Note: Candidates having Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering are not eligible to apply.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Application as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
